The 608-room property features several fine-dining options and also offers an array of event and meeting spaces for those traveling for business.   

Challenge:

As a property equipped with magstripe locks, Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport desired to update its security access infrastructure in order to ensure the wellbeing of guests and staff using the latest technology. Property leadership notably sought out a cost-effective solution that could also provide a seamless path to eventually adopting mobile key services.

Solution:

Having previously implemented VingCard magstripe locks, Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport was able to readily upgrade its door locks with advanced RFID capabilities without first having to perform extensive hardware replacement.  Now equipped with both VingCard Classic RFID and VingCard Signature RFID, the property notably gains industry-leading data encryption that minimizes the risk of keycard cloning and unauthorized room access.

 By just switching out each lock’s magstripe reader with an RFID replacement, the property also enhances guest convenience by preventing the risk of keycard demagnetization which can often result in frustration and a need to return to the hotel front desk.

With VingCard door locks engineered to be scalable and future-proof, Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport’s most recent security technology investment also provides an affordable and hassle-free process for eventually activating Mobile Access. With just the addition of a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and/or Near Field Communication (NFC) reader, the property can activate the ability for guests to use personal devices as a secure and convenient room key once demand for the service arises.
