An eco-friendly property offering an eye-catching contemporary design along with cabin, capsule or glamping booking options, The Fuzzy Log offers a stay experience to suit any guest need. Guest experience-enhancing amenities include spa and wellness facilities as well as a hot tub and sauna.

Challenge

Seeking to ensure the maximum safety of its guests, the Fuzzy Log desired a modern security access solution that could prevent both unauthorized entry and potential exposure to germ risks. At the same time, hotel leadership wanted to ensure that legitimate guests could seamlessly move around the property  hassle-free.

Solution

Previously equipped with VingCard door locks, hotel leadership was able to benefit from a seamless upgrade process to VingCard Signature RFID and Mobile Access thanks to the future-proof design strategy of ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions. By simply adding the Signature RFID reader to existing door hardware, the property immediately gains advanced encryption abilities that prevent the unauthorized cloning of keycard data.

 Implemented in online mode alongside the Visionline access management system, VingCard Signature RFID further provides hotel staff with real-time security alerts for events such as a wandering intruder with instant deactivation abilities for a key that is suspected of being stolen. The lock’s online mode also enhances hotel efficiency by allowing staff to monitor the battery life of each lock remotely. Vital to social distancing efforts and enhanced guest convenience is also the option to extend guest stays or issue room reassignments without requiring a front desk visit for a new key to be created.

The future-proof design of VingCard Signature RFID also allows properties such as The Fuzzy Log to instantly activate the award-winning features of Mobile Access. This includes providing guests with instant self-service convenience in the form of digital check-in using personal devices and which significantly allows them to avoid front desk areas where germ exposure risks may be present. Once checked in, guests then receive a digital key and room number information via secure communication channels in order to effortlessly gain authorized room entry along with minimal need to touch shared surfaces.

 As part of the property’s security upgrade process, ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is also credited with installing locker locks that utilize the same advanced security encryption protocols as VingCard Signature RFID door locks. While ensuring the safety of guest belongings, the locker locks are also compatible with Mobile Access, providing hoteliers with options to streamline guest convenience and reduce shared surface contact even further.
